REAL AFRICAN WOMEN (R.A.W.)

Real African Women is a partnership between Obaasema Magazine and the Gye Nyame (pronounced jean yuh-me) Empowerment Project (www.EmpowerMeGNEP.org) that will be launched in May 2010.  This initiative is a series of real discussions that allows African women to come together to discuss issues pertinent to their experiences as African women growing up and living in the United States. R.A.W. is about personal growth; it will invite college students and professional women to participate in these discussions with the hopes of unleashing a more confident woman.
