The LOVE Issue
I’ll start this note by apologizing for reneging on my promise to update this page regularly; it’s been more than a month since I did! A two-week update would’ve been more appropriate, which I can pledge to do!
To get into the spirit of “love” or Valentine’s Day, I thought it would be fun to publish a “Love” issue for all you softees of love, myself included!
In this issue, we asked nine young men to tell us why they loved and I must say, their responses were interesting, at least so I thought. Due to the devalued nature of love today, it’s easy to forget that it’s still cherished and revered by most people. One of the responses, which seemed to be an underlying tone among the answers, got me thinking: that you get to experience love when you love. It sounds like an obvious notion but not many people hold this perspective, especially when they have reasons not to love at all. I hope some of these answers, as light as they might be, awakens a new perspective about love in you.
So, I’m very pleased to see Obaasema support Rocky Dawuni’s 2010 Independence Splash! Rocky is one of Ghana’s most gifted and inspiring artists and as you all know, anything/anyone inspiring has Obaasema written all over it! check out the short feature on him and visit his website to support!
