Five Things to Help you Meet Your Fitness Goals

There are five things I’ve learned along my fitness and wellness journey that I wish I knew before but so glad I know now and hope that it helps you in your journey.

  1. It’s not about duration, it’s about intensity – You don’t have to workout for two hours everyday to see results. If you have only 30 minutes, go hard and make it count.
  1. There’s no such thing as “I don’t have time”– You make time for what you care about. If you make time for your hair, nails, dinners, friends and social media, you can make time for workouts and meal preparation.
  1.  If you don’t do something different you won’t see something different – You can’t expect to eat and workout the same way and see something different. You have to change it up if you’re trying to change and not just maintain.
  1.  One Cheat meal isn’t going to derail your dreams – Enjoy and then get back on track, remember the 90/10 rule. Your body reflects what you do 90% of the time, not the little 10%. However, your everyday standard eating and drinking can make or break your fitness goals. Remember, nothing tastes as good as healthy feels.
  1.  Be real with yourself – Don’t fake the funk. Know what motivates you and what doesn’t. That’s how you’ll stay on track. One shoe size doesn’t fit all. Wear your size and excel.
