Obaasema Village

Obaasema Village is a charity project in partnership with two NGOs (The Sheepfold Ministries and HAPCSO) to meet some of the needs in Africa. It is devoted to hosting fundraisers for these two organizations, donations which go to assist some of their programs. Visit Obaasema’s Events page for news about the latest fundraiser.

Why the name “Obaasema Village”? The word “Village” was adopted from the African proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child.” This project carries a similar connotation: That it will take an entire African community to work together to bring about progressive change on the continent. Additionally, most NGOs tackle problems experienced in neglected villages where poverty and illiteracy among other issues are dominant. It is our hope that the effort goes a long way to help feed an underprivileged child or educate the young girl with hopes of becoming a president some day.
